Work Description: Water Heater repair
Comments: Bestway installed my new water heater 4/2022 (high end about $2K). Called them 27 Nov 2023 to repair. Tech came out next day, looked at it for a few minutes, said he would need to replace the parts. (my sense is he seemed to be aware of problems with this system) After unsuccesfully trying to look up the parts, tech said he would follow up later. After no response for almost 3 weeks, called for a status and Bestway said the parts vendor never called them back. I said after 3 weeks, you are just now telling me that. Bestway said they would order the parts. Got the estimate, $650 to rebuild. Called back to say that was unreasonable for a 1 1/2 year old water heater. Response was "warranty expired"- "our techs don't work for free", and Bestway also said "call the manufacturer if you are unhappy". Not a good way to respond to and treat customers. Guess I was being given the brush off. As a veteran and Virginia resident, I unfortunately would not recommend Bestway. Poor customer service and poor communications skills. Proceed with caution for their services. They may do some good work, but unfortunately they need to do so consistently. The cost is not the issue, I may have to replace the heater in the end, but thats my choice and also to NOT use Bestway services.

Comments: Big Dan and Little Chris were absolutely wonderful during the repair of my toilet. The both were very kind and professional and their experience and knowledge was evident as they patiently listened to my concern, examined the toilet and then gave me options and recommendation and allowed me to choose my course of action. Then they explained to me exactly what they were doing as they fixed the problem. I really enjoyed the experience and the price was reasonable.

Work Description: My review is based on Bestway's installation of a L7LXDCS150B 1.5 cubic foot CitySoft carbon filter/water softener.
Comments: Overall, my experience with Bestway was not pleasant, led to thousands of dollars in damage, and resulted in lost hours at work. I will not recommend them because of their incompetence. Almost all of their service calls were prompt and preceded by phone calls. The company promptly responded to my initial service call. Nevertheless, I can't in good conscience recommend this company to others because a master plumber should not fail at something as simple and easy as tightening a fill plug, refusal to compensate a homeowner for damage obviously incurred from said incompetence and forcing homeowner to use his house as a test facility.

Comments: After calling many plumbing vendors to gather quotes on a plumbing reconnection, I stumbled across Bestway Plumbing and Drain. From the get go, I had a positive experience. Their admin was very quick to respond to my messages and schedule me for an appointment to get a quote. When Skip and Christopher arrived, they respected our no-shoe policy and wore shoe covers, wore a mask, and were extremely pleasant and professional. They assessed the job needed to be done and provided me a very reasonable quote. Following the quote appointment, it was very easy to schedule a time for them to return to complete the job. Bestway Plumbing and Drain is a family-owned business and it was evident in working with them that they cared about their customers and didn’t want to rip them off just because they could (like a lot of the other vendors I had contacted). Additionally, Skip was very patient in answering my questions and providing advice on other areas of importance. I will definitely be recommending them to family and friends for any of their plumbing and drain issues!

They came out and accessed the situation and made necessary adjustments to tide us over since we felt after 26 years it was time to replace our faucet. We spoke to Sean and Will about some choices since we really wanted a faucet that had a built in water filter. They gave us some pricing and 2 units that night and after we did some research we decided on an American Standard Saybrook faucet. The office gave us the price of the faucet including installation and it was ordered. As soon as it came in ,Geri, the office manager emailed us to schedule installation. The installation went beautifully and Shawn and Will were professional and a delight to work with. We will definitely use Bestway the next time we have plumbing needs.

Work Description: Mixing Valve Replacement
Comments: Excellent service! Arrived on time, very nice and professional, and thoroughly analyzed the situation and made recommendations. They were very good about explaining the issue to me to make sure I was comfortable with the repairs. Because they are so well prepared, they actually had the part I needed (a new mixing valve) with them and fixed my hot water issue immediately. Highly recommend and would absolutely use them again!

Comments: Did a great job. Job wasn’t too challenging as walls were open in basement area. Provided estimate and completed job in same day in about one hour. And ts been a week and no issues. Seemed a bit pricey to me, maybe $100 over what I thought it would be, but that’s just opinion. Overall completely satisfied.
