Build it Right Carpentry LLC. was founded in 2009 by Brian Blankenheim (owner) whom started his remodel and new construction company to serve clients on a professional level with their construction projects.
Prior to starting his company, Brian started his education in1996 as a carpenter. He enrolled in a four year apprenticeship training course with Wisconsin/Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters while working for a carpenter contractor. He became valedictorian class of 2001 as a Journeyman Carpenter. His years of experience with carpentry have brought him knowledge and understanding on how all professional tradesman work together on the same project. His quality to detail, organizational skills, and leadership has developed the need to establish a quality company to serve clients with this integrity.
Build it Right believes every job runs better if the contractor is involved from the very beginning of the project. The contractor can also assist with the permitting process and streamline the budget and estimating process prior to the start of construction.

Work Description: I have had the significant fortune to work with Build It Right Carpentry on several occasions.
My first encounter with Brian Blankenheim, who is the owner, was for a simple small repair to a screen in our screened porch. His work was timely, appropriately priced and performed with excellent expertise. He did not mind that this was a small job.
At this time, I had noticed some wall buckling and requested Brian to please assess this situation. He did a careful, thorough evaluation and calculated an estimate based upon painters, roofers, drywall, etc. It was Brian’s scope of knowledge and quality to detail that gave us confidence to go forth with Build It Right for this project. As the process of repair proceeded, it became apparent the significant water damage which had occurred. Brian was diligent to find and fix the source of destruction and then appropriately coordinate with the correct team to deal with mold and wetness. I was fiercely impressed with Brian’s devotion to resolution of the water damage, he even presented for work at our home on Sunday!!! This reflects his core constitution of work ethic and quality of practice. I am deeply indebted to his abilities for solution and excellent reconstruction. He aligns himself with hallmark tradesmen, who are likewise as qualified and devoted to quality work. I have confidence that the water damage will not present a problem again. This is relief. Additionally, Build It Right addressed other potential weak construction points and rectified them appropriately.
There is no question in my mind I will be requesting Build It Right for ANY big or small job that I have in the future. Once you find the best why bother on the rest?

Work Description: We initially contacted Brian to repair an existing deck. Although the job was very minor, he was happy to come out and look at our job. Brian was more than happy to repair our old cedar deck if we decided to go that route, but after discussing our options, we quickly decided not to repair it, but to replace the deck with Azek. We are extremely thrilled with the result!
Brian was always on time, polite, efficient, neat, and he began the job several weeks before his estimated start date. After Brian was complete, we started looking for other projects to do because we had such confidence in his abilities. When our next remodel/repair presents itself, we will definitely call Brian first!

Work Description: He built a sun room out of a screened in porch, did some drywall and carpentry work, and put in some windows.
Comments: Brian does great work. He is great and I highly recommend him. I can say enough good things about him.
