Work Description: Installed new battery in my outside generator and made sure generator was working. Installed dimmers, switches, corrected lighting fixtures, fixed wiring problems, fixed an internal box that was broken inside an outlet, changed out old-style lightbulbs to LED fixtures, checked outlets at my request to be certain they were working properly, installed a new switch so that I don't get "zapped" every time I try to turn off the bedroom light. Helped me figure out a series of complicated switches. Solved a goofy problem in the basement. There was a hidden alarm going off and I could not find it anywhere. Doug came in and solved the problem.
Comments: Excellent work. Doug really is truly professional and it is a relief to have a master electrician that I trust working on my home. He is at the top of his game and I will work with him again on all future electrical issues.

Comments: Was experiencing major issues with current service. D&K contacted me almost immediately after I submitted my request on networx.com. Told me they could be at my house within the hour. Came out, assessed the situation, and gave me an estimate. Very friendly, very professional, very informative, very experienced. I double checked the quote and found it to be on par or slightly better. Was not charged for initial visit. Job was started and completed in about 4 hours the next day.

Comments: D K Electric was great! Came out to take a look at my fuse box that I had been told by another electrician needed to be updated. They were honest with their evaluation, and told me that an update wasn't necessary, and gave me the best quote out of the 4 electricians I had contacted for when I am ready to make the update. They also took a look at my laundry room, and identified some problems with the lines running to my dryer. Went out to get the parts, and fixed it that day! Great guys!

Comments: Came out and gave a quote the same day, was almost half the cost of the other contractor that called and gave me a quote. Did a great job wiring it up, filled the tub and had it running before they left. Will use them again in springtime to run the electrical out to my pool pump.

Work Description: Grounded several outlets in our home, and then returned to help us figure out why a circuit breaker kept flipping.
Comments: We very much appreciated Doug as we were moving into our new home! We feel we got a fair price for the initial call to ground our outlets - but what really sets Doug apart is that he was willing to come back to our house the next day when a circuit for the upstairs was not working properly. He worked for over an hour (after his regular work day) to correct the problem AND went above and beyond to fix another issue that was going on w/the upstairs light switches. Again, we had a very fair price and we had our lights back! Highly recommend Doug and his company. The only draw back was that they did not clean up around the outlets that they had updated so there was some debris from the updates on the carpet, etc.

Work Description: Due to a partial electrical failure, a leak was discovered in my circuit breaker. He sealed the top of my meter, replaced the main breaker, and the smaller switch breakers. He showed me the leak itself. I also had him replace a dimmer light switch in my hallway, replaced a reset plug plate in the basement and remove a broken light in a ceiling fan.
Comments: He was very knowledgeable and explained what had to be done. I will hire him again in the future. He cleaned after himself. He called me right away and the job was completed quickly.Thank you for your part.

Work Description: Troubleshooting not having power in half of the house even though the circuits werent blown(tripped) and had full power running to house from the outside master.
After troubleshooting for a bit we realized that we were looking in the wrong place for the issue because my girlfriends brother in law decided to replace the circuit and wired it wrong, so what we thought we were turning power off on was actually not doing so.
Doug realized this and could have solved the problem in as little as 20 minutes had he actually not listened to me telling him what someone else had done earlier. But it goes to show you that they do actively listen to what your issue is. :)

Comments: The work was professional and they did a great job, but two people came and for most of three hours one guy was texting on his phone. The other thing was they needed the floor plug since they didn't have it, so they both went to Home Depot to pick it up. Of course they charged me for the time both of them were gone, instead of one staying and working on the job.
