Comments: The job sounded simple- install a baby gate. However the Summer Baby Gate was not accompanied by parts that worked on my staircase due to an unusual configuration of the handrail at the top of the stairs. I’m fairly handy so it took me a couple of hours trying to create the necessary wooden structure (out of left over wood in my garage. )When I finished I had a platform on which the hardware in the kit would work. However, it looked awful and it was no clear to me that it would hold up against a raging toddler.
I called and they sent Erd who made something beautiful, sturdy, using only half of enclosed hardware. It did take runs to the hardware store for wooden parts, but the job looks great.
Thank you for your creative attention to my problem.
