Work Description: Plant new seed for back areas and small side area
Comments: Hired 12/21/23 Installed 12/28 and 12/29 because Judy Zook did not call me to put the seed out for them to install seed for backyard and side of home, where grass had died, they planted seed, then covered with tons of hay to protect and keep soil moist so seed could root, changed Irrigation to 2x day and said keep it this way for 1 month 1/29/24, then call them to pick up hay and reset irrigation, new grass should be sprouting. They replaced 12-15 heads which increased my total by $200.00 more and offered me a yrly service for a flat price to consider. Noted a month to Jan 31st, called them on 2/2/24 to come and pickup hay and reset irrigation. They said they would have to think about how to do that, as I was supposed to call them 5 days after 12/29 to tell them if my grass was growing. 1st time I heard that. They said they would get back to me as of 2/2/24.On 2/5/24 sent text to Judy Zook, Please let me know when you’re coming to remove hay and reset my irrigation system as all paid for and this was part of the agreement. RESENT 2/7/24, same message requesting a status because they did not call me back as to what they were going to do and when.
JUDY ZOOK responded, that’s not what you were told. It was as soon as it start to grow about a week let e no I will come remove hay. Not on ur schedule cause you never called now your gonna call with those remarks how long later. 2/7/24
I RESPONDED, I was told it would take 30 days before the little green grass would come up and the jay would stay down for30 days and to water 2x day for 30 days. I paid in full. So to me you are not keeping your commitment to take up all the jay and you are telling me to take up the hay I suppose and to change my irrigation system that you had set to twice a day. I am trying to get the hay picked up off my ground I tried sweeping some of it myself but I still have not recovered from surgery totally and my leg prevents me from standing steady when doing all of this which is why I hired you. Please confirm that you are stating that you will not come and pick up the hay or not will come and change my irrigation system. I am trying to find out what I need to do so that I can get this taken car of. I trusted you to follow through on your word and I did not have that in writing just told me over phone which I should have know better and you should provide written instructions, because these things happen when things are not in writing. But it sure doesn’t make sense that you want a 77 year old woman to go and pick up all the hay. Thank you so much for responding and let me know what the status is so I know how to move forward on getting this resolved. Have a beautiful day and please get back to me as soon as possible. 2/7/24
JUDY ZOOK responded, and I would imagine Ray, the owner told her this as well: You stated urself he told you to call in a week. If anyone you are the one that did not live up to ur Commitment of calling in a week no its our fault. I am typing what she typed. 2/7/24
I SAID, No I did nt say he tld me to call in a week I’m telling you he told me 30 days at least that’s what I head and that’s what I noted on calendar. All I am asking you regardless of 5 days or 30 days you guys installed you have a calendar you should come back out or call you should not have to count on me to call you to come back out to remove hay, it should be part of the job. So just confirm you are stating that you will not come out and remove the hay and that you want me to pay someone else to come out and remove the hay. That is all I need to know and then I will know what I need to do. Thank you so much! 2/7/24
So now I have hay all over my yard, equal to 3-4 bales of hay to pick up into bags that was supposed to be part of the job. I will need a handyman and pay additional fees for this, as well as figure out my irrigation system with 2 sets of times. Caution on using this company, as you can see. everything is MY Fault, none of it is theirs! Just take your money and run. I will try to bag it over the next few days and see how long it takes me, especially when I get close to the seawall. I am so disappointed in the words from this woman and unprofessional treatment toward me, the Owner has to be a part of it or he is out to lunch on his employees or family member. No one, especially a paying customer should be talked to like this. We all know those stories about these type of people, so Buyer Beware is all I can say.

Work Description: Broken sprinkler head
Comments: Ray is a good guy and does good work, however, the point of contact, Judy, lacks integrity, and is full of excuses.I was told there was a crack in the Irrigation Line. I checked it out, and the sprinkler head was cut right off laying there in the grass. Judy told me it was a cracked line they had nothing to do with, when in fact, it was clearly a sprinkler head they ran over. Anyone else see how that is a little sketchy?
Judy took zero ownership of the situation. Judy: “my guy would never run over a sprinkler head. He has 30 years of experience. Someone probably stepped on it.” “Um, I mean it was the neighbors Lawn Guy.” Seriously? Accidents happen Judy, it’s not a big deal. She handled the situation horribly, and Oh really? the force of a foot stepping on a sprinkler head that is flush with the ground will snap a sprinkler head completely off from the base that is under ground 6 inches? Who you trying to fool?
I wasn’t even requesting you fix it. I told you it’s under builder warranty. My question was regarding the misinformation and coverup stories.
If you can work directly with Ray, then I’d say give it a shot. He does a good job for the most part. If you have to go through Judy, STAY AWAY. There is a reason this company is one of the cheaper ones..
Correction to my above review:
Ray had the audacity to text me with insults and tell me how much money he makes after I politely notified him I hired another company. I have screenshots of proof, unfortunately, it won’t allow me to post pics on this review for some reason. Ray, there is video surveillance from Ring Cameras all around the house, if you decide to come sabotage my property.
Yes, I actually feel threatened from a lawncare company owner, who would have thought?
They are a classic example of, “you get what you pay for.”

It was done the following afternoon, and would have been even sooner if he hadn’t been dealing with an irrigation emergency. It was done very , very courteous and cleaned up the tiny mess from bark on driveway . I’m so pleased . Can’t wait to make this part of our new holiday traditions. Can’t recommend highly enough
