Comments: We discussed a quote of $175 over the phone. When he performed the repairs, I asked him what "auxiliary" mode was to which he said he'd check. He came back and told me that it was just because it was running on the secondary heating system and charged me an extra $225 just for that information. It was a flat fee for "diagnosis and repair" even though nothing was repaired. I was scammed and I felt like I honestly shouldn't have paid him. Avoid getting charged more than you are quoted for and go with someone else. There are plenty of other fine AC technicians.

I would call you guys again if I have the need.I only wish the outside unit would have been put abut 12" further and not in front of a window. But I got out there a bit late to recommend placement. Wish that could have been changed.

Work Description: Installation of new gas furnace and air-conditioning unit with thermostat.
Comments: Being a new, first-time home owner, it has been daunting to learn all of the details about my new house. When I wanted to upgrade an aging gas furnace and install air-conditioning, I had a very positive experience using Absolute Temp Control. A representative visited me for a free consultation and was very nice and straightforward about the services I wanted, by exactly breaking down each part of the service I needed to upgrade my house. I also received a discount for upgrading both systems at the same time. I did not feel pressured to be up-sold on anything. In fact, the representative actually recommended to me only the basic air conditioning that best fit the needs I had, and the particular environment I live at here in the Northwest. He wanted to make sure that ultimately my upgrades would be a return investment in utility savings in addition to receiving a quality product.The installation itself was very pleasant. The owner of the company personally installed the new gas furnace and A/C into my house. Luckily I hired Absolute Temp Control when I did because it turned out my sump pump had stopped working under my house! At no charge, they were able to fix the problem so they could continue with the installation and my house was saved from potential water damage. There was also some wonky wiring done by the previous owner which required them to have to re-install the A/C to the other side of the house, and they did so at a very fair price since we had already established the contract. I also had no problems leaving the house for hours at a time to run errands while they continued to work. They were very respectful, and I had absolute trust in them. Overall, the owner and his associate put in a full day under a hot sun and were worth every dollar. All of the old equipment and piping they took away, and my garage was left with a very clean, well-installed gas furnace. My A/C works well and never deviates from the new thermostat's controlled setting of 74 degrees. While my friends are sweltering, I feel perfectly comfortable in this summer weather. I will definitely use Absolute Temp Control again when I am ready to go tankless for my water heater.

Work Description: Installed a Daikin Ductless Heat Pump Model MXS32GVJU with one FTXS15LVJU and one FTXS18HVJU
Comments: We are very pleased with the "feel" of the heat our new heat pump provides. Our most recent electric bill illustrates how effective this system is. Our average daily kWh usage for the period Jan 2012 was 90.9 and cost $9.96 per day. For the same Jan 2013 period our average daily kWh usage was 45.8 and cost 4.87 per day. Our consumption was cut in half. Our house is ALL electric !The job took less than ONE day and our home was kept clean during the intallation. My wife and I appreciated John's professional manner of answering our questions and his technical skills performing his heating and air conditioning business. We would certainly recommend Absolute Temp Control for your new system !

Comments: It has been just about a month since you installed the new furnace and AC and I am so happy with the performance that I’m almost speechless. I guess having and old unit that was barely limping along set me up for this because you don’t really realize how bad it is performing until it is replaced with something that really works well. I want to say thanks so very much for everything you did here at my house from the process of selecting a replacement unit all the way to the clean and professional install (and really great sheet metal work – even the inspector was impressed). I generally have fairly low expectations when it comes to contractors but you changed that. Your work is/was outstanding and I couldn’t be happier with the results.
