Comments: We recently had SJZ Construction handle several renovations in our old house to refresh it while retaining original character we loved. Sammy flawlessly balanced preservation and upgrades. Delighted with the results!

Work Description: A pipe burst in my bathroom, which not only caused extensive damage in the bathroom, but ended up leaking down through the wall and into the room below. Both rooms needed repairs. Along the way, we figured out we also wanted to make some improvements, like enlarging the bathroom and putting in a larger shower. Sammy’s team redesigned the bathroom and repaired the damage in both rooms. They were meticulous throughout, and finished everything by our deadline (just in time to host our relatives for the holidays). We joke that we are happy that the pipe burst, because now we have such a luxurious bathroom. It all worked out in the end thanks to SJZ.

Comments: Converting our garage into an ADU really seemed like a daunting task for us, but we were really fortunate to find Sammy from SJZ construction. He took care of everything from architecture and planning to city permitting and construction from start to finish. There were some change of plans along the way, and Sammy was accommodating in amending the project to fit the vision we had. He’s been an incredible help, and is a genuinely nice guy. Sammy and his team have been great at communicating with us during the construction and made sure we knew what and when things were going on at each step of the process. He’s always been available to answer our questions and got back to us fairly quickly when we had concerns.

Comments: I swear I never trust any of these contractors out there but Sammy and his team are truly the best I've ever come across! I wanted to remodel three bathrooms and my kitchen. I asked around and found SJZ and thank god I did because I don't think I would have been able to handle the stress these other "contractors" out there put homeowners through. Sammy did such an excellent job and made my home look so clean and beautiful, I already sent him to one of my clients who had him add a unit on top of their garage and the way he constructed it looks like it was always there- like it wasn't even an addition- that's how seamless and masterful his work is. Hands down I highly recommend him and his team for literally any of your construction or remodeling work needed.

Comments: I got 5 different quotes from several of the local remodeling companies and settled on working with Sammy. He met with me and went over multiple different options and got to know what I wanted along with what would fit my budget. He is incredibly knowledgeable and a true professional in the remodeling business. He helped me update my grossly outdated bathrooms and a light remodel of the kitchen to give it a fresh appearance. In doing so we were able to stay within a cost effective way to obtain the desired look we wanted and most important while staying within our budget.Sammy managed every aspect of the projects from supply ordering, inspection appointments, the construction, coordinating the plumbers and electricians so that everything was completed within a timely and efficient manner. His workers were also incredibly respectful and minimized any mess and made sure to not damage any of the hardwood floors in rooms leading to the construction.
Working with Sammy was a genuinely pleasant experience and I most definitely will be a returning customer for the rest of my remodeling projects.
